Episode 1: Fake Happiness
I lay dying on the hard floor, watching my mate, my alpha, standing there laughing, holding my brother in his arms. Leo tilts his head back, and Christan starts kissing him- the man who picked me and said that he would love and stand with me for life. They poisoned everything around me: food, drinks, and even my clothes and bedding. They turned our children against me; Christan even pulled my wolf soul out of me just to make Leo stronger.
I wanted to fight, but my body was too weak. I don’t understand: if he didn’t love me, why pick me, why bond with me, and start a family with me? He could have chosen Leo from the beginning, but I guess if he did, he wouldn’t have been able to get ahold of my inheritance and all of the properties and all the money. What he doesn’t seem to know is that Leo didn’t inherit anything, not because of anything I said or did, but because our father knew our mother cheated, and then she found out she was pregnant. He found out long ago and made the changes to the inheritance and his will. Christan never listened to me when I talked about family matters. I doubt Leo said anything because he wouldn’t want Christan knowing he didn’t bring anything to the table. As I cough up blood, I feel my life fading. The last thing on my mind before I am swallowed by darkness is that if there is another life, I will never pick Christan as my mate.
