The next morning, Kai woke up in Caleb’s arms, and the morning looked as peaceful as it could after the rain. He moved a little and was pleasantly sore after last night. Caleb was passionate, and Kai loved every minute of it. He let his mind wander to Sierra; they had been dealing with so many other things that even if she did try to wreck their standing with the council, it didn’t work. He knew that she would try to interfere again, but he was going to make sure he didn’t let her get in between them because that is just what she wanted. The last thing he would ever give her was the power to systematically sabotage us and what we are trying to build here. Caleb moves next to him, bringing him out of his head. He kisses Caleb slowly, enjoying the feel and taste of him, allowing his hand to trail a path down his back and under the sheets, grabbing his ass as Caleb grinds on him, nipping at his lips. Before this can go any farther Kai leans away from Caleb, breaking the kiss, which makes Caleb growl a little, showing a little fang. Kai laughs and gets out of bed, giving Caleb a show, not bothering to cover up as he walks to the bathroom. He leaves the door open and walks to the toilet, takes a piss, then washes his hands and brushes his teeth before hopping in the shower. He is in the middle of washing his hair when the shower door opens, and Caleb walks in behind him. He pushes Kai’s hands away from his hair and takes over, lathering up his hair, moving Kai’s head this way and that way, tilting it to the side, and kissing his mate mark. Kai moans, giving him more access. Caleb walks them both under the shower head, nips his ear before whispering to keep his eyes closed as the water falls over his head, washing the shampoo away. Kai switches with Caleb so he can get the conditioner and let Caleb in the front so he can start washing his body. As they are both wrapped up in their task, Kai thinks about what he has to do today. He didn’t think he had to see any of the Counselors today, but since he would be in the archives, it is possible he will run into one of them. He had to look through more records about Guardians and their roles in the pack. He also wanted to check about the records and history of Omegas; he had heard that males who were Omegas were able to give birth, although it hadn’t happened in years. He heard it was only with the Alpha and Omega pairing, but I am not sure what other things are needed for it to happen, or why it just stopped all of a sudden. He had never given it much thought before, but now that he was mated, the idea of having children of their own would be amazing. Little boys or girls running around who looked like a mix of Caleb and me, I know his parents would love it, and Talia would make a great aunt. He was pulled from his thoughts when he felt Caleb put his arms around his waist. Caleb helped him finish his hair, then he washed up too before they got out.
They both got dressed and were on the way out when they got notified that Sierra, whom they had someone watching, had left the area, but they didn’t know where she had gone. With that on our minds, we kissed and went our separate ways. He had his Alpha duties, and I had my work before heading to the Archives. I will stop by the client to see my dad and see if he needs my help with anything.
