Love After Midnight

Storytime, Romance, LGBT

I am stuck right now in my current stories, I know where I want it to go but it’s hard finding the right words… so, I am going to do what I normally do when this happens… I am gonna write something else so I can still get my creativity out and then maybe it will help me find the words for the other stories.

Liam was sitting on his bed going through the photos on his phone. He had started dating Scott in their senior year of high school, and although Scott isn’t closeted people mainly focuses on the girls he dated and not the guys unless they were popular too. At first, he was just helping him with his schoolwork because he had some grades that needed to improve before he got cut from the football team. At first, they kept it friendly and all about work but the longer he tutored him he dropped his guard, and Scott was able to pull him in. It’s my own fault for staying with him this long, he isn’t a bad boyfriend, just not very attentive and he was more than happy to let certain people think he was single if it helped him in any way. Lately he has been doing that more and more and Liam was thinking more and more it was time for them to break up. Not that it would be the first time they broke up, but for whatever reason Scott can’t seem to leave him alone and he keeps falling for his words of things going to be different. He believes him every time and nothing changes. Liam really thinks that now that he is 21, he needs to break up with him for good since it doesn’t seem like he is going to actually make any changes. For example they are supposed to be meeting up to have a dinner for my birthday and I am sure he is going to try to talk me into moving in with him because he is under the impression that if we live together I will be there all the time waiting for him when he decides to come back home and I am not out there meeting new people who are going to tell me to drop him or find a roommate that turns into a relationship because come on anyone would be better than staying with a play boy who doesn’t have a problem playing the field even though I still haven’t gotten any real evidence. Scott was supposed to be here an hour ago, this was his last chance to make things right and to prove that he was serious about us but once again his true colors are showing and it’s about time I listen.

Liam gets up and puts his phone in his pocket, he hears a noise downstairs. He opens his door and hears something again; he grabs his aluminum bat and head downstairs. When he gets to the bottom of the staircase what greets him is a woman wearing what looks like a nurse outfit and standing behind her is a being straight out of sci-fi movies. He is tall which is something since Liam is 6’5 and this thing was taller than that, he had muscles in all the right places and God help him he has a tail that is thumping on the floor as it is slightly wrapped around his legs. Standing in front of the nurse woman and dragon man is Scott and he isn’t alone with him is his ex-girlfriend Kymberly, looking at them you can tell they were about to or had already finished getting into something; which is probably why he is an hour late for my birthday dinner, “ What the fuck Scott you show up an hour late to my birthday dinner and you have your ex wrapped around you and these two cosplayers here, you should have just sent a text cancelling.” Liam says dropping his stance not about to swing on anyone yet. Kymberly hisses and points at him yelling while Scott just stands there with his head down. The woman looks down at her tablet thing and clears her throat. “Are you Liam Novak, 21 years old today, no abnormalities, has been a 4.0 student all of high school and so far, your college career is going the same.” Liam looks at her, his mouth dropping open, he doesn’t understand what is going on right now, but something is telling him to RUN! He takes an involuntary step back angling his body so if he does need to run, he can run out the side door in the kitchen. “Liam I am Jessica, a few years ago I was sort of in the same shoes as you and I am here to go with you and to make this transition as painless as possible.” He hears her words, but they aren’t making any sense, what transition? Why are they all in his Living room with an alien right now? Before he can ask these questions, Scott and Kymberly voices start to rise as they are arguing. “Who cares Kymberly, I was only dating him so I could get into a good college, and I did I don’t need him anymore, let them take him instead.” That’s when they realize they have an audience, when Scott turns back around, he looks like he has made his decision and can live with it. “Look Liam we both know I wasn’t really that into you, the only reason I kept bringing you back after we break up was because I still needed your help getting into college. I was late tonight because I was fucking Kymberly who can’t stand you by the way but is now feeling sorry for you. These guys came to take me, and I fought back, that’s when lizard man said that there was another option, that I can volunteer someone else in my place that they will take instead and you came to mind. I would say sorry but really, I’m just happy that they aren’t taking me.” Before Liam can process that his boyfriend of 4 years just told him he was cheating which he knew but that he threw him under the buss the dragon dude moved so fast and he was right in front of Liam, Luckily he has been training since he was a kid so even though it seemed like the alien just popped into existence in front of him Liam was practice enough to still bring up the bat and connect his hit. It surprised dragon dude who stumbles back a few steps wiping purple fluid from the corner of his lips. His eyes flash and he smirks before cracking his neck and starts bouncing on his toes getting ready to fight for real. He came forward and took a swing, but Liam was ready and blocked him and went in for his own licks. Liam takes a few hits and he gives some, right when it looked like Liam was going to overpower dragon dude the woman steps forward like she was going to try to help and contain him so fair is fair and Liam hit her too, he will feel sorry about it when he is no longer looking at being kidnapped and he will make sure he tells his mom and if she feels he did wrong he will take any punishment she gives but right now he just needs to make sure he has the chance to talk to his mom.

He must have hit her harder than he thought because she is sitting on the floor shaking her head like she is trying to clear it. Liam gets a little worried and while he is distracted dragon dude sweeps his tail to trip up Liam and before he knows it, he is laying on the floor with this huge dragon alien on top of him pinning him down. Liam struggles and cusses everyone out in the room. Jessica, Dragon Dude, Kymberly, and Scott. Jessica is clear enough to crawl over to them and pulls a cloth from her bag and a bottle that has a bluish green liquid inside of it. She pores the liquid on the cloth and leans over to Liam, “Stop this isn’t right, you didn’t even come for me you can’t do this.” She covers his mouth and doesn’t move her hand no matter if he is trying to shake and buck them both off. He gets free and gets away, but Scott ends up in his way and he pushes Liam into Dragon Dudes arms and walks to the front door. Scott and Kymberly pauses at the door and looks back, “Kymberly if he does this to me what do you think he will do to you when he gets tired of you, not to mention when he gets paranoid about you knowing what he did.”  Liam does see the way Scott looks at Kymberly or how she gaps and stiffens because what over Jessica put on the cloth is now working. Dragon Dude picks him up and helps Jessica off the floor as the front door closes. He pushes a button on his belt, and a portal opens and he helps Jessica through as he carries Liam and he cant help the smile on his face because his brothers are going to love him.
