The forest whispered her name.

Seraphine Vale had always felt like a stranger in her own skin—and in her own home. The people who raised her, who called themselves her parents, never held her with warmth. Their love was brittle, their words sharp, their eyes full of fear. She learned early that silence was safer than questions, and pain was more familiar than comfort.

They told her she was cursed. That her strange eyes—light lavender, glowing in the dark—were a birth defect. That her hair, a wild cascade of red streaked with black, was unnatural. That her tattoos, which appeared on her skin without ink or needle, were signs of possession.

But the truth was far older. And far more dangerous.

They weren’t her parents.

Not truly.

They had found her—abandoned, wrapped in silk and shadow—on the edge of the Ebonreach woods. A child with no name, no history, and too much power. They took her in, not out of kindness, but out of fear. They bound her magic with crude spells, masked her scent with iron and salt, and raised her as human.

But Seraphine was Fae.

Her blood sang with ancient magic. Her soul pulsed with wild energy. And no spell could hold her forever.

Her power flared in moments of emotion: mirrors shattered when she cried, flames danced when she laughed, and animals followed her through the woods. The town whispered about her. The people who raised her grew colder. And Seraphine grew stronger.

She lived among humans, but she was never one of them.

And now, the veil was thinning. The Moonfire Pact had awakened.

🔥 The Males of the Pact

They were bound to her by prophecy, each representing a primal force. Each drawn to her magic, her blood, her soul.

🐉 Ronan — The Dragon

Born in the volcanic heart of the Drakari Peaks, Ronan was forged in fire. His people were ancient, winged, and feared. Ronan had shed his wings to walk among mortals, but the heat of his blood remained. His golden eyes could see through lies, and his breath could melt stone.

He had ruled as a warlord, loved as a poet, and lost as a brother. His scars were hidden beneath his skin, but Seraphine’s presence made them burn anew. She was the only being who had ever made him feel vulnerable—and he hated it. And craved it.

🐺 Kael — The Wolf

Kael was born under a blood moon, the runt of his pack. He fought for every inch of respect, every scar on his body earned in battle. His silver hair marked him as a Moonborn—blessed by lunar magic, cursed with uncontrollable rage.

He had wandered for years, a lone wolf with no pack, until the prophecy called him to Ebonreach. Seraphine’s scent was wild and ancient, and it calmed the beast inside him. She didn’t flinch when he growled. She didn’t run when he bled. She saw him—and that terrified him more than any enemy ever had.

🌊 Thorne — The Selkie

Thorne came from the deep. His kind wore sealskins and danced between worlds. He was a prince of the tides, a thief of hearts, and a master of illusion. His beauty was lethal—dark curls, sea-glass eyes, and a voice that could drown you in longing.

But Thorne had secrets. He had betrayed his clan to save a mortal lover, only to be cast out. He wore his exile like a crown, and his charm like armor. Seraphine’s magic called to the ocean in him, and for the first time in years, he wanted to be seen without his mask.

🖤 Lucien — The Witch

Lucien was born in the ruins of a fallen coven, raised by shadows and spells. His magic was sharp, his mind sharper. He had studied every forbidden tome, mastered every dark art, and sacrificed everything for power.

But power was lonely.

Lucien had seen Seraphine in visions long before they met. Her magic was raw, untamed, and beautiful. She was chaos wrapped in silk, and he wanted to unravel her. Not to control her—but to understand her. To protect her. To burn the world for her, if he had to.

Seraphine didn’t know why they were drawn to her. Not yet.

But the forest did. The stars did. The prophecy did.

And soon, she would too.
